Automaton Nautilus Wall Clock
This wall clock Automaton Nautilus is made of several layers of wood, woodstained and painted high quality acrylic paint. The front elements of the clock are decorated with detailed and intricate engraving. Stainless steel elements and copper coated screws are used in the construction of this clock model.
While making the design of a new clock we were inspired by the nautilus which is a pelagic marine mollusk of the cephalopod family Nautilidae. It comprises six living species in two genera, the type of which is the genus Nautilus. Nautilidae, both extant and extinct, are characterized by involute or more or less convolute shells that are generally smooth, with compressed or depressed whorl sections, straight to sinuous sutures, and a tubular, generally central siphuncle. Having survived relatively unchanged for millions of years, nautiluses represent the only living members of the subclass nautiloidea, and are often considered "living fossils".
The gears in this model are decorative and don't move.
Upon request the clock can be personalized with a text engraving, which will neatly supplement the look of the clock face.
