Automaton Armillary Sphere Wall Clock
This wall clock Automaton Armillary Sphere is made of several layers of wood, woodstained and painted high quality acrylic paint. The front elements of the clock are decorated with detailed and intricate engraving. Stainless steel elements are used in the construction of this clock model. The clock face is covered with a piece of acrylic glass.
This clock model can be both a wall clock and a table clock as the elements of the construction rotate relatively to each other so the clock face is visible the best.
While making the design of a new clock we were inspired by an armillary sphere (or a spherical astrolabe) is a model of objects in the sky (on the celestial sphere), consisting of a spherical framework of rings, centered on Earth or the Sun, that represent lines of celestial longitude and latitude and other astronomically important features, such as the ecliptic. It was invented separately in ancient Greece and ancient China, with later use in the Islamic world and Medieval Europe. With the Earth as center, an armillary sphere is known as Ptolemaic. With the Sun as center, it is known as Copernican.
Upon request the clock can be personalized with a text engraving, which will neatly supplement the look of the clock face.
